Monday, August 20, 2018
The teams of both China and Panama are meeting in Beijing today for a second round of talks on a free trade accord between the two countries.
According to the leader of Panama's team, Alberto Alemán, the talks will center on agreements on the use of the terminology, definitions and concepts to be used throughout the talks. Both sides will also present their preliminary views of the tariffs of goods and services that they aim to achieve.
"Even though we're just beginning with the issues of the tariffs, it's important to present how we both stand," Alemán explained.
