Panama announces budget of $24 billion

Panama's Cabinet Council last night passed the national budget for the coming fiscal year at $23.7 billion.

The figure includes a 2 percent increase in the fiscal deficit to cover the conclusion of several major public works projects.

The budget was proposed In July to be $23.3 billion.
