Tuesday, February 4, 2014

The Northeast Asia-East U.S. trade route is likely to be the most affected by the current Panama Canal expansion conflict, according to a study by the U.S. Department for Transport.

The route accounts for 34 percent of the annual cargo traveling through the Panama Canal.

Cars, container and unpackaged goods are expected to be the most affected in U.S.-Asia trade, the study showed.
