Panama: Hub of the world

Panama will likely have more opportunities in a wide variety of areas, following last week`s announcement that seven airlines are interested in direct flights to Tocumen International. With potential flights between Panama and each of Europe, Asia and the Middle East, Panama can expect more investors, as well as tourists. Airlines which have expressed interest are Cathay Pacific, Eva, Singapore, Korean, British, Lufthansa and Emirates. Panama has for some time been developing a logistics center, similar to those of Hong Kong and Singapore, in this case centered on the canal, as well as Latin America´s biggest free zone, a significant banking network, and the regional airport with the greatest number of connections among South, Central and North America.
