Panama leads in economic growth

Panamanian growth will be well above the average rate of 4 per cent for the region’s other countries, according to a recent report by the International Monetary Fund.
The only other country likely to do better than average is Costa Rica.
A risk for the growth in the region may be inflation, caused by high food prices, Figures represent expected growth in percentages for 2011, according to the International Monetary Fund.
