Panama promotes agro exports to Europe and China

Panamanian will have offices in Shanghai and Rotterdam, dedicated to promoting agricultural products.
Panama’s first foreign agro-commercial office will open next month in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
A Shanghai office will open in 2019, according to the Minister of Trade and Industry, Augusto Arosemena.
The offices will support Panamanian exporters in promotion and logistics, including compliance with local norms.
The European Union is an important buyer of Panamanian fruits and seafood.
The port of Rotterdam is the main maritime gateway to Europe.
Many Panamanian products receive preferential access to the European Union, under the terms an Association Agreement.
