Panama’s consumer price index pushes ahead of government’s annual inflation target
Friday, April 15, 2011
Forecasts of an inflation rate in Panama of 4 to 4.5 percent this year could turn out to be to erring on the side of optimism.
The rate climbed 0.9 percent in March as compared to February driven by the rising prices of transportation.
The National Institute of Statistics reported on Wednesday that the annualized consumer price index was 5.5 percent up until March.
