Plycem to improve operations in region

Construction material company Plycem announced its plans to invest $5 million next year for innovation projects in El Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica, said Randal Fonseca, the firm's director for El Salvador.

The investment will go towards automatization procedures and development of new products.

Plycem's sales in El Salvador alone have grown 35 percent this year compared with 2013, Fonseca said.
