Political wrangling in Costa Rica over hybrid vehicles

 

A bill in Costa Rica to reduce taxes on environmentally friendly vhicles has caused differences among legislators.

Hybrids that can be plugged in, and vehicles that operate only with electricity, will be free of tax. The problem lies with hybrid behicles that have both a regular engine and an electric one.
