Recope is number one

Costa Rica Petroleum Refining (Recope) is the largest company in Central America, followed by Copa Airlines, the Costa Rica Electricity Institute, and the Panama Canal Authority, according to America Economia (Spanish only).

Recope is number 184 in a ranking of 500 Latin American companies, led by Brazil's Petrobras.

Revenue and profits between 2006 and 2013 were some of the main criteria used (numbers in parentheses indicate the position in a ranking of 500 Latin American companies).
