Remittances hit record $15.8 billion

Remittances sent home by Central American emigrants reached $15.8 billion last year, a record number and 7 percent more than in 2014.
Information from AirPak, which operates with the backing of Western Union in the sending and reception of the remittances, show that the numbers reflect the resurgence of the US labor market.
