Spain's King Felipe VI on Wednesday praised visiting Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez Alvarado for his determination to combat drug trafficking, improve public safety and promote economic growth.
"You will always have the support of Spain," King Felipe said shortly before a luncheon at Madrid's Royal Palace for the Honduran president and his wife, Ana Garcia.
Hernandez, for his part, thanked Spain for its "enduring support," especially in difficult times such as the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch in 1998, and invited Spanish firms to explore the opportunities offered by his country.
