Spanish firms to build wind farm in Honduras

Spanish firms Iberdrola and Gamesa reached an agreement to build a 50-Megawatt wind farm in Honduras.

The project will be located in San Marcos de Colón, to the south of the capital city Tegucigalpa near the Nicaraguan border, and will require an investment of some $84 million.

The project will be developed along with Honduras's Grupo Terra, and will create some 200 jobs during its construction.
