Surge in demand boosts sales of craft beers in Costa Rica

 

Costa Ricans love craft beer, sparking a market provided by 75 micro-breweries that generate sales to supermarkets, hotels and restaurants.

The first microbrewery was founded in 1998. Since then, sales have risen sharply fueled by festivals, new brands, expos and aven apps.
