Taiwan still has economic ties with El Salvador

When El Salvador broke diplomatic relations with Taiwan in order to team up with China, economic relations were expected to follow a similar course.

Apparently not yet, however.

The president of the El Salvador sugar producers, Mario Salvatierra says that Economy minister, Luz Estrella Rodríguez, has assured him that the government of El Salvador has not renounced its free trade agreement with Taiwan.
