Thomson Airways announces flights to Costa Rica

UK-based Thomson Airways said it will begin to operate direct flights between London and the Costa Rican city of Liberia from November next year.

Costa Rica's tourism authority, ICT, said the UK is the country's fourth source of tourists frm Europe, with more than 35,000 arrivals last year, 10.2 percent more than in 2012.

British tourists stay about 14 nights when visiting Costa Rica, and spend approximately $94 per day, the ICT said.
