Traditional inshore fishing falls victim to climate change

Traditional inshore fishing -- also known as artisan fishing -- in Central America has fallen victim to natural factors combined with climate change, according to Opesca, the regional association for the activity.
In some areas the catch has fallen by about 25 percent. About 152,000 fishermen work the Central American coasts. Fish consumption, however is low: the average is about half as much as in the rest of the world.
