UK medical device maker buys Colombian distributor

UK medical device maker Smith & Nephew has acquired the Colombian company that distributes its orthopedic reconstruction, trauma and sports medicine products in the Latin American country.

Smith & Nephew announced the acquisition after its US shares fell 2.7 per cent in pre-market trading in anticipation of an M&A announcement.
