US and the region agree on fine-tuning of Cafta accord

Central American and US authorities concluded a meeting on the evaluation of the regional free trade agreement, Cafta.

The meeting, in San Salvador, agreed adjustments on farm trade, phytosanitary rules, the textile regulations and resolution of disputes.

Two committees will be set up. One will be on farm trade and the other for phytosanitary protocols, a frequent block to trade.
