US mulls long-term support for Central America

The US government believes that coperation with Central America needs to be “institutionalized” no matter who inhabits the White House.

Juan Gonzalez, joint undersecretary of State for Central America and the Caribbean said that “no matter who wins in November, we have to achieve a level of cooperation, together with the Congress, that will lead to a multi-annual plan for Central America.”
