Use of credit cards in Guatemala grows 21 percent

Credit cart use in Guatemala grew 21 percent in February this year, compared to the same month in 2013.
Consumers are preferring the use of cards due to the ease in the purchasing process and less procedures, University Rafael Landívar professor Olga Camey said.
However, the number of credits and loans requested to buy home goods dropped 3 percent in the same period.
