China's FAW to return to Mexico with Carlos Slim

Chinese carmaker FAW will return to Mexico with the help of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim's Inbursa.

FAW sold its vehicles in Mexico from 2007 to 2009 with Grupo Salinas, but the operation was unsuccessful and the company decided to shut down.

"We are looking to take advantage of a new portfolio of compact cars that FAW has developed in China over the past four years," said Giant Motors Mexico president Elías Massri.
